Rolling Hills Riding Academy is a therapeutic horseback riding program that has a dramatic impact on the physical and cognitive development of children with special needs. Rolling Hills Riding Academy has been committed to providing an individualized program for children with special needs that integrates the pure joy and freedom of riding a horse with the appropriate therapy to achieve the child’s specific therapeutic goals.
Rolling Hills Riding Academy’s Therapeutic Program includes lessons with children whose primary diagnoses include, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, genetic disorders, autism spectrum disorders, hearing and vision impairments, as well as a range of developmental delays. Most of the children served at Rolling Hills Riding Academy live in a world that focuses on all that they cannot do, at Rolling Hills Riding Academy, our staff assumes success and our students receive a resounding message of “Yes, you can!”
Rolling Hills Riding Academy does not replace other therapies, but is instead an integral component of the child’s overall treatment plan. As our population tends to have multiple therapies, Rolling Hills Riding Academy integrates the whole child into the goals and objectives.
